TWAS - UNESCO Research Grants Programme

The call supports research in nine fields: Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Engineering, Information Computer Technology, Mathematics, Medical Sciences and Physics
The call for the SG-NAPI Programme remains open until 24 May 2022 and invites applications by scientists from 47 selected African countries, who meet the following eligibility criteria:
aged 40 or below (any applicant turning 41 in the year of application is not eligible),
obtained their PhD abroad (outside his/her home country) within the last 5 years and returned to his/her home country within the last 36 months or will return home before the end of 2022,
must hold a position at an academic and/or research institution (including international research centres) in their home country,
must be national of an eligible African country (in the Sub-Saharan region).
We encourage early career African scientists, especially women scientists, to apply for this programme.
